PROGRAM OVERVIEW

• May 14, 2025: Kickoff with an evening event.
• May 15 and May 16, 2025: Full-day sessions.

Eligibility Criteria
We are seeking high-potential companies ready to scale. Selection is based on meeting the following criteria.

Priority Criteria (Required):

• Tech-based companies.
• Ability to participate in the full program.
• Proven business traction: Companies generating revenue or with funding sources (e.g., grants, personal investment, venture capital).
• Interest in the U.S. market and Arlington, Virginia.
• Alignment with Arlington’s industries:
  • Primary Industries: Cybersecurity, Aerospace and Defense, Advanced Computing (e.g., AI, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Quantum Computing).
  • Secondary Industries: ClimateTech (Sustainability), FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, Transportation, Internet of Things.

Desired Criteria (Highly Valued):

• Existing U.S. business connections (such as sales and/or business development office)
• Plans to establish a presence in Arlington within the next 12-18 months.

 
Program Benefits

Note: Participants are responsible for their airfare to and from Washington, D.C. area.

By submitting this application, the applicant gives permission for Arlington County, Virginia, acting through Arlington Economic Development (AED)’s Arlington Tech Launchpad, to conduct due diligence that may include but isn’t limited to verification of: applicant’s organizational status, principal place of business, revenue, and funding sources and consents to the release of such information by third parties to Arlington County and those assisting with its administration of the Program.

Further due diligence could include Arlington County requesting documents including, but not limited to, the company’s articles of incorporation or organization, business financial documents, and leadership resumes.

I understand that if selected to participate in the Arlington Tech Launchpad’s Immersion Program, by providing my electronic signature below, I, {fullName} certify and agree to the following terms and conditions on behalf of {legalName}:

• In order to ensure participation, provide Arlington County proof of purchase of transportation to the Program (e.g., airfare ticket to the Program).
• Complete a short 5-minute final survey at the end of the Virtual Business Engagement to share feedback and insights about the event. 
• Attend the full Immersion Program and adhere to the guidelines set forth by Arlington Tech Launchpad.
• As part of the Immersion Program, Arlington Economic Development will provide the following:
  • Local transportation during events and sessions associated with the Program;
  • Meals during events and sessions associated with the Program; and
  • Three nights of single-occupancy hotel accommodation on the nights of May 14, 15, and 16, 2025 in Arlington, Virginia. Any food and beverage, incidentals, or other expenses related to the hotel stay will be the responsibility of the participant. Upon check-in, the participant will be required to provide a credit card to the hotel to cover potential incidental charges or damage during your stay.
• Opt-in to join the email list and be the first to hear about opportunities for tech companies in Arlington.   
• Any misuse of participation in the Program will result in the company being barred from future consideration of programs offered by Arlington County.
• Information provided on this application is considered to be a Public Record under the Virginia Public Records Act. This information will be used for business, trade, and tourism development or retention and will be kept confidential as permitted by law; however, this record may be subject to release by the County in response to a request made under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.
• Authorize and grant to Arlington County, Virginia, acting through Arlington Economic Development (“AED”),  the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission to take photograph(s) and/or video(s) of {legalName}’s representative during the course of the Program and to use those photograph(s) and/or video(s) of the representative to advertise, publicize, and/or promote Arlington County without further consent by {legalName} or its representative. Permission is also granted for the use of the image(s) and/or video(s) on a non-exclusive basis throughout the world on all forms of media and on the internet by the County, identified industry partners, and any other entity that the County deems appropriate. This authorization shall be binding on {legalName} and its representative and its legal representatives, successors, and/or assigns. This authorization is irrevocable, worldwide, and perpetual and will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• {legalName} and all of its officers, departments agencies, agents and employees (collectively “Applicant’) covenants to save, defend, hold harmless and indemnify Arlington County, and all of its officers, departments, agencies, agents and employees (collectively “County”) from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, injuries, fines, penalties, costs (including court costs and attorney’s fees), charges, liability or exposure, however caused, resulting from, arising out of, or in any way connected with this application or {legalName}’s participation in the Program.  

Certification and Authorization

I further certify that that {legalName}:

• Is a Tech-based company;
• Has a qualified representative who can participate in the full program;
• Is generating revenue and/or has funding sources;
• Has interest in the U.S. market and Arlington, Virginia; and
• Is in alignment with Arlington’s industries.
  • Primary Industries: Cybersecurity, Aerospace and Defense, Advanced Computing (e.g., AI, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Quantum Computing). 
    Secondary Industries: ClimateTech (Sustainability), FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, Transportation. 

I have read and understand the Program descriptions and the application questions and am authorized to submit this application on behalf of {legalName}. I agree that my electronic signature below is the legal equivalent of a handwritten signature and that by this signature I consent to the terms and conditions of the Program. I understand that Program decisions are final and not subject to appeal.  I certify that the statements contained in this application are accurate and complete and understand that false or inaccurate statements will result in immediate rejection of the application.
